Overview
PrayingForYou is designed to be private by default. Your prayers stay on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
Data Storage
All prayer data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. There is no account system, no server, and no cloud database. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it.
Prayer Sharing
When you choose to share a prayer, a link is created using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This link contains only the prayer title, description, and reminder settings you chose to share. Shared data is stored temporarily in Apple's iCloud servers to facilitate the transfer.
Sharing is entirely optional and initiated only by you. No data is shared without your explicit action.
Prayer Counts
When two people share a prayer, an anonymous count of how many times the prayer has been prayed is synced between them via Apple's CloudKit. No personal information is attached to these counts.
Analytics & Tracking
PrayingForYou does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks. We do not collect:
- Usage data or app analytics
- Device identifiers
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers
- Crash reports (beyond what Apple collects if you opt in via iOS Settings)
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service used is Apple's CloudKit, and only when you explicitly share a prayer. No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or ad networks are included in the app.
Children's Privacy
PrayingForYou does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects no data, significant changes are unlikely.
